Do you remember the sixties?
The Baby boomers – the 1960′s generation – are reaching their sixties.
Those born in 1946 reach 65 this year – the age that used be the legal ‘Normal Retirement Age’, a time when some of the many pressures of early life have disappeared and people look forward to a more relaxed lifestyle.
Older age can also be a time of growing sadness and periods of depression for some. We want to change this.
The Mental Health Foundation are being funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to explore how this big generation - who’ve lived through massive social change – can experience a mentally healthy old age.
